Autographing Collector’s Edition

This is pretty funny.

March 2008, Nine Inch Nails released the instrumental album Ghosts I-IV. It was made available through their website as a digital download, CD, and there was a limited run of 2500 autographed collector’s editions. (These sold for $300 each, and were sold out within 24hrs.)

So while the video makes me laugh, I keep in mind that that 24hr sales burst earned them $750k on collector’s editions alone. That’s not counting “regular album” sales, (of which I was a proud, humble “regular” customer.)

Carpel tunnel angst.

This is it.
A call to arms.
A challenge.
A compass.

An inspiration.

This is captivating sound, image, and performance.

Miroir Noir

Arcade Fire have released their first official live concert DVD titled Miroir Noir.

I love the tiered cost/quality options. If my current bandwidth weren’t so scant, I’d pull the trigger right now.

(I’m still laughing about that Metric album that I purchased in FLAC and can’t afford the 500 MB to suck it down. Justified bt.)

Who isn’t lured in by a teaser trailer of hitting things, and hitting things and hitting things.

Srsly.
